Purchased a detached home in partnership for the very first time. Amit has been extremely helpful throughout. He responds very quickly to emails and calls. I have called him several times throughout the entire process and he has been very patient when dealing with me and my family. He never once complained I am bugging him and made himself available each and every time. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and works with you to find a mortgage option that would work best. We have immensely relied on his mortgage advice, and was not disappointed one bit. There were a few days of delay with the closing date but that was because of the irresponsibility of the lawyer, who stated mortgage was not approved on the closing date (not before) even after Amit had informed us and the lawyer it was approved, well in advance of the closing date. On the closing date, the lawyer was even telling me to go speak with the real estate agent on the mortgage when he was well aware Amit was our mortgage broker!!! I had to get Amit involved who worked it out with the lawyer, and the lawyer eventually negotiated with the builder. Thankfully, the builder was cooperative and agreed to move the closing date the few times (due to the delay on the lawyer's part) and we did not have to pay any late closing fees. Really appreciated the extra support from Amit as I was getting an anxiety / almost heart attack on the closing day, while speaking to Amit on the phone to explain the situation. The lawyer was the biggest roadblock / "kebab mein haddi" in this!!! The lawyer was inventing all kinds of nonsensical issues on the closing date. That lawyer and his incompetent team literally went berserk on the closing day. All in all to say, Amit kindly got involved in this mess and sorted it out with the lawyer, who wasted everybody's time, causing unnecessary mental stress, especially for a first time home buyer. Amit made the last few days of the closing bearable for us as I could no longer deal with the lawyer. Not sure where Amit gets his patience from but kudos to him because I had completely lost my patience on the last days. Massive thanks to Amit for going above and beyond there. Overall, I would rate Amit a 5 as I understand nothing in life is perfect and he did his best in getting us the best rate possible during this pandemic and offered his help and support in whichever way he could.
